Okay...What i'm about to say should not be taken as gay bashing. Personally I feel that love is love. No matter what two genders the lovers happen to be. However as a fan of Tim Drake (best of the three robins (Spoiler doesn't count) ) I feel the need to clarify.


Tim isn't and never has been Gay. With Kon-El, Bruce Wayne, Richard Grayson, Beast Boy, Speedy, or any other DC superhero or male side kick.

Tim and Kon-El were best buds, almost brothers at times it would seem.

You see it all the time in todays world. Two men can't have a close relationship without being lovers? Does this mean that every woman who has close female friends or "Girl Friends" as they are often called, is a lesbian. No...no it doesn't.

I have male friends that if they died tomorrow...guess what? It would devistate me. I've known these men nearly all my life. They are more of a brother to me than my own flesh and blood brother. I've fought beside them when things hit the fan, I've been there for them when life kicked them in the mud and they in turn were there for me when the same happened.

Are we Lovers? Nope.

Have we ever entertained the Idea? I sure haven't.

It's just platonic love. Nothing more.


The same type of love that Tim had for Connor.

Just as with the Death of Batman Tim mourns the only other Father he has ever known.

Tim chose to alter his costume to mimic Connor's colors to honor a fallen friend. (This brought him closer to Connor's own girlfriend Wonder-girl and the two nearly began a realtionship because of that closeness)


Now despite my personal feelings on the subject the piece itself is very well done and very detailed. You are a most gifted artist even if I don't quite understand the tendency for so many artists to read a subtext into characters that was never likely intended by the writers or creators of such characters.


Once again please do not take what i've said here as hate mongering..it's not my intention. I'm not here to start a fight with anyone either. I simply noted the shere amount of comments assuming that a Character i enjoy reading was something he is not and felt the need to clarify for those that haven't read the comics.

I'm not expecting a reply to this comment, and if anyone gets thier undies in a knot over me expressing my opinion i would just like to say that at no time did i call it WRONG, Immoral, or anything of the sort. I'm not going to argue life style choices with anyone, i'm only throwing in my two cents. Period. That is all.
